Pageantry

If you were wondering why Dave has been looking so shaggy lately, it's because his mom recruited us to be in a pageant in her ward. She was called to be the producer, and there weren't enough interested actors, so my husband was recruited for his amazing acting skills, and I tagged along. He played a Nephite apostle and I was Woman #3. No speaking parts, thankfully. His dad was Nephi, his mom was in it, and his sister Lara had a main part. So it became quite the Blackmer Family Production. Oh, and his best friend Aaron and wife Katrina got in on the fun, too. And his sister Clarissa came and took so many pictures she could have been the official photographer. We had a great time, and it was a wonderful spiritual experience for everyone involved.
